How to properly climb hills with an electric bike

TRANSCRIPT:

Here we are with another video with some tips and tricks to help you maximize your experience with your QuietKat eBike!

A really common question we get is how steep of hills can your QuietKat climb up? The answer is as steep a hill as you're willing to ride up!

QuietKat eBikes come equipped with powerful motors and are geared to go up and down hills with ease. Designed here in Colorado, QuietKat Electric Bikes are built for climbing mountains! As you can see in the hills behind me we'll have no problem getting up and over.

Here's a couple of tricks to help you get up the steepest hills in your area.

The first thing you want to make sure you're in a nice, easy gear, as trying to shift to an easier gear while going up the hill can cause breakage, and can also be awkward and lead to an accident. Make sure as we're coming in approaching the hill that we shift into an easy gear first and then put the power down to get up to the top of the hill.

As you're going up, make sure you keep pedaling and you can even press the thumb throttle to give you a little extra oomph to get up to the top of the hill.

Remember, don't stop pedaling until you've reached the top, otherwise, it can be really easy to fall back down the hill.

Thanks for watching today and we'll see you climbing some hills out on the trail!
