EAGLE, Colo. — QuietKat Electric Bikes, the leader in off-road e-bikes and a Vista Outdoor Inc. (NYSE: VSTO) brand, is proud to announce that President and Co-Founder Jake Roach will discuss entrepreneurship in the outdoor industry during a panel at the annual Colorado Outdoor Industry Leadership Summit (COILS).
COILS is a two-day event of networking, idea sharing and expert discussions to build and sustain the outdoor industry in Colorado. COILS invites CEOs, government officials, executive directors, entrepreneurs, students and leaders that represent the full spectrum of the outdoor economy in Colorado to attend. This year’s event is taking place May 19-20 in Crested Butte.
Jake and twin brother Justin started QuietKat in 2012 with the desire to create a better way to access tree stands and hunting lands in a quiet and efficient way, while having the capability to pack all the gear they might need on a backcountry hunt or other excursion into the wilderness. In 2015, QuietKat released its first electric bicycle and in 2021, the brand was acquired by Vista Outdoor.
On the panel, Jake will share his story of what inspired him and his brother to start the brand, the challenges they’ve faced and overcame, and the future of the outdoor industry. In addition, Jake will share his experience with building a brand in a small mountain town, the impact QuietKat has on the community and how economic development groups can be helpful.
QuietKat’s e-bikes will be on display at the event, which takes place at the Elevation Hotel and Spa in Crested Butte, through Friday. QuietKat will also provide tools for trail-building including e-bikes, trailers, and tools to support the volunteer trail building event on Friday afternoon.
